The Experience
Take to the skies with a 60-minute helicopter flying experience in Leicester and discover what it feels like to control this incredible aircraft yourself.
With expert guidance from a qualified instructor, you’ll move beyond simply being a passenger and truly get a feel for the controls.
Your session begins with a warm welcome and a full safety briefing. After meeting your instructor, you’ll step into the Cabri G2 helicopter and prepare for take-off.
During your 60-minute flight, you will:
- Learn the basics of helicopter controls with expert instruction
- Take the controls yourself and practise essential manoeuvres
- Enjoy extended flying time to build confidence at the helm

This extended session provides more time to develop your flying skills and enjoy the thrill of helicopter flight. With longer periods at the controls, you’ll have the chance to gain a real sense of how these remarkable aircraft respond in the air.
After landing, your instructor will answer questions and provide feedback on your performance. The experience is designed to be both exciting and educational, leaving you with a strong sense of achievement.

Vital Information
You must be at least 12 years old, and anyone under 18 will need parental consent. There is no maximum age, but you should be confident that you can safely take part in the flight. Participation may be refused on health and safety grounds. The maximum passenger weight is 17 stone, and the height limit is 6’4”.
The Weather
You should call the location on the day before, or the morning of your flight to see if it is suitable to fly. If your experience is cancelled, you may change the date and time booked.
Session Length
You Helicopter Trial Flight includes 60 minutes of flying time.
Numbers
Your voucher is valid for one person and your experience will be exclusive with your instructor.
Spectators
Friends and family can be accommodated so make sure they bring a camera.
What To Wear
Please dress for the weather, and make sure if it is sunny that you bring a pair of sunglasses.
Availability
The experience is available throughout the year, although we recommend allowing at least two weeks notice for better availability.
