The Aeroplane Flying Lesson - One Hour offers a unique opportunity to take to the skies and seize the controls of a fixed-wing plane or microlight. This hands-on experience is perfect for anyone with a passion for flying or seeking an exciting escape from the ordinary.
Your journey begins at the airport, where a qualified flight instructor will provide a comprehensive pre-flight briefing, covering safety procedures and basic flying techniques. Once prepared, you’ll head to the aircraft and settle into the cockpit for an unforgettable adventure.
After take-off, it’s your turn to take the controls. Guided by your instructor, you’ll learn basic manoeuvres while soaking in the stunning aerial views from over 200 metres above ground. Feel the freedom as you glide through the air, leaving the hustle and bustle of daily life far below.

Participants should be aged over 18. Maximum height is 6'6". Maximum weight is 24 stone (152.4kg)
Flights from Weston Airport, Dublin are only available for 50 minutes.
The Weather
The weather may affect the ability to enjoy this experience. In bad weather, the participant should call the location the day before to ensure the experience is going ahead.
Session Length
The flying lesson will last 1 hour.
Numbers
The voucher is just for one person - the flight instructor will join them in the aircraft.
Spectators
Depending on the location, spectators can join you at take-off and are allowed to take photos of you flying away!
Availability
We recommend booking 3-4 weeks in advance, particularly for weekend dates. The availability depends on the location.
