REINING : NRHA EUROPEAN DERBY
Le plus grand rassemblement d’Equitation Western hors du continent américain se tient de nouveau à Lyon !
Pour la première fois cette année, Equita reçoit l’évènement majeur du Reining Européen pour les chevaux de 4 à 7 ans : le NRHA European Derby et son épreuve phare : NRHA EUROPEAN DERBY OPEN FINALS
Le Reining est une discipline dans laquelle le cavalier doit démontrer le contrôle parfait des mouvements de son cheval. L’épreuve de Reining se déroule avec des variations d’allures sur un parcours imposé et noté: le pattern. Parmi les figures, des cercles de différents diamètres, des huit de chiffre avec changements de pieds, des pirouettes très spectaculaires appelées « spins », des arrêts glissés « sliding stops » etc. L’ambiance, lors de cette compétition made in USA est digne des plus belles compétitions américaines ! Dépaysement assuré !

The biggest Western riding gathering outside the United States is held in France, again in Lyon!
For the first time this year, Equita welcomes the major event of European Reining for horses from 4 to 7 years: the NRHA European Derby and its major class : THE NRHA EUROPEAN DERBY OPEN FINALS

Reining is a discipline in which the rider must demonstrate the perfect control of his horses’ movements. The reining contest consists of a succession of gate variations carried out on a mandatory course on which the horse will be evaluated: the Pattern. Among the movements performed there are: circles of various diameters, figures of eight with changes of leg, spectacular pirouettes named spins, sliding stops, etc. The atmosphere, during this “made in the USA” competition is worthy of the most beautiful American shows!
